Jeg så Kimiya første gang på en digital konferanse i regi av HR Norge. Hun imponerte meg med hennes entusiasme og troverdighet. Jeg ringte Kimiya og spurte om hun ville være mentor for to sommerstudenter som skulle lage et rammeverk, en plan, og komme med forslag på mål og tiltak for vårt mangfoldsarbeid. Heldigvis takket hun ja, og maken til energi, effektivitet og pågangsmot er det lenge siden jeg har sett. Mektig imponert over arbeidet hun og sommerstudentene har levert. Gleder meg til vi skal presentere arbeidet for divisjonens Ledergruppe og videre samarbeid med Kimiya.

Da vi inngikk avtale med Kimiya var hun et litt ubeskrevet blad og derfor litt spent på hva hun ville levere. Men, i det øyeblikket hun entret podiet og begynte å snakke var all tvil borte. Foredraget hun holdt om mangfold og inkludering for våre konferansedeltagere bidro til å få tilhørerne til å forstå at mangfold og inkludering omfavner så mye mer enn de i utgangspunktet tenkte på. Kimiya fremstår som veldig tydelig, rolig og reflektert. De mange gode eksemplene og konkrete rådene ble verdsatt av deltakerne. Flere sa at dette var en tankevekker og svært nyttig å få så konkrete råd når det gjelder å tenke på mangfold og inkludering i rekrutteringsprosesser

Kimiya Sajjadi held a workshop in English about how we at MSD can work with diversity and inclusion. She was very confident in the message and everyone thought they learned something new. The mixture of discussion, story telling and concrete tips was very well received. No one was bored and you noticed that no one can do everything, but everyone can certainly do something. Før Kimiya kom på besøk til oss i rekutteringsteamet i Telenor var det nok veldig mange ulike definisjoner på hva mangfold er, sikkert like mange som vi er på vårt team. Gjennom to workshops med Kimiya har vi fått en felles forståelse for mangfold, og et bredere perspektiv på hva mangfold faktisk er. Samt hvordan vi kan jobbe med mangfold særlig knyttet til rekrutteringsprosessen for å bidra til Telenor Norges mangfolds- og inkluderingsmål. Vår største bekymring i forkant av samarbeidet var nok det at vi ikke skulle få konkrete tiltak for veien videre, men det er nettopp det workshopene med Kimiya har gitt oss. Vi er nå aktivt i gang med å gjøre justeringer i rekrutteringsprosessen, og vi har fått en tydeligere felles retning for arbeidet med mangfold i teamet.
